What’s the problem?

Yamaha is recalling certain model year 2011 XC50A (Vino Classic) motorcycles manufactured from April 2011 through August 2011. Due to improper adhesion, the brake shoe linings may separate from the front and rear brake shoes.

What could happen?

If the brake shoe linings separate, the brake performance could be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash.

What’s the fix?

Yamaha will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front and rear brake shoes, free of charge. The recall began on October 4, 2013. Owners may contact Yamaha at 1-800-962-7926.
